====== L3DT release 2.3a ====== Released on the 16th of July, 2005 ([[http://www.bundysoft.com/news/doku.php?id=l3dt:ann:v2.3a|see announcement]]) ===== Changes ===== * User interface * Users can store and recall preferred settings in most wizard dialogs using the [[l3dt:userguide:wizards#wizard presets bar|presets bar]]. * The wizard dialogs now support display DPIs other than 96dpi (normal). * Added a link to off-line documentation in the help menu. * Light mapping * The transmission coefficients for water surfaces are now calculated using the Fresnel equations, giving physically accurate elevation angle dependence (see [[l3dt:algorithms:lm#light_absorption_by_water|water effects|algorithms page]]). * Bug fixes * Fixed map display where the map didn't resize when the window was resized (only happened during calculations). * Fixed water mapping routine where odd-numbered side-lengths were mismanaged. * Fixed perlin generator where non-multiple-of-64 side-lengths were mismanaged. * Fixed 'import design map' wizard bug that prevented the generation of mosaic maps. * Fixed 'select heightfield algorithms' wizard bug (selection of algorithm from list after hitting the '<< prev.' button was buggy). * Fixed L3DTVi2 compatibility with new ATI cards that support OpenGL 2.0. * Installer * Built new installer using the [[http://nsis.sourceforge.net/|NullSoft Scriptable Install System]] (NSIS). * Included L3DTVi2 and documentation in the installer package.
