====== Copy and paste ======

To copy an area, first use the [[l3dt:userguide:tools:selarea|select area mouse tool]] ('//Tools->Select area//' in menu) to grab the area you want to copy, as shown below.  Then, select the '//Edit->Copy//' menu option or press CTRL+C. This will open the 'Copy and paste tool' window, also shown below.

To paste the copied area, again use the mouse selection tool to define the area into which you want the copied area to be pasted. Then, select the alignment mode (left/centre/right and bottom/centre/top), and select the '//Edit->Paste// menu option or press CTRL+V. If you do not like the result, select the '//Edit->Undo//' menu option or press CTRL+Z.

To paste as a [[l3dt:userguide:utilities:newmaplayer|new map layer]], select the //Paste as new layer// button.
