3D Rendering

Sapphire is the new 3D renderer and terrain editor plugin for L3DT. It is included by default with L3DT, and can be opened using the '3D' toolbar button, as shown below:

L3DT supports common formats that are widely used for terrain and texture data. As such, it is compatible with most 3D terrain rendering environments. Popular 3rd party renderers often used with L3DT include:

• Terragen and TG2.
• VTP Enviro (using the 'File->Export->Export to VTP Enviro' menu option.)
• Bryce.
• Vue.
• Blender.
