Bodies of water (eg sea, lakes) may be removed from the water map using the 'delete water body' mouse mode, which is activated by selecting 'Tools→Water delete tool', or by clicking on on the 'delete' button in the water map flood tool.
In this mouse mode, a water body is deleted by left clicking the mouse over it. Note that this operation will also delete regions of the water table that were fed by the water body.
