Loading and saving map projects

Loading projects

To load an L3DT map project, select the 'File→Open' option from the menu, which will open the Open project wizard shown below:

A project previously saved by L3DT may be re-loaded by selecting it from the list and clicking on the OK button. Other map groups may be loaded by clicking the Browse… button, selecting the desired project file in the open dialog, and then clicking on the OK button.

Saving projects

To save a project, select the 'Save project' or 'Save project as…' options from the 'File→Save' menu. The former will save with the current project name, the latter will ask you for the new project file-name. Clicking OK will save all maps in the project, the project file (.proj), and any ancillary files like the map definition file (.def.xml) and map summary file (.html).

When you save your project (eg. mygroup.proj) L3DT will save each map in the project as a separate file (eg. mygroup_HF.hff is the heightfield file). The file formats and settings to be used may be selected in the file preferences window.
