buffer_Init

Description

Allocate memory in a buffer variable.

Function prototype

bool CExtAPI::buffer_Init(ZVAR hBuf, long nItems, long ItemSize);

Arguments

Name Type Comment
hBuf ZVAR A handle to the buffer variable to be initialised.
nItems long The number of items for which memory is to be allocated.
ItemSize long The size, in bytes, of the items in the buffer.

Return value

False if an error occurred, and true otherwise.

Comments

Memory is initialised empty

The memory in a buffer variable is initialised as zeroes by buffer_Init.
