        <description>It may be useful in some instances to create a design map for a heightfield that was generated via the perlin or fractal algorithms, or otherwise imported from a file. With a design map, you may do such things as specifying the locations of lakes, or paint different climate distributions using the design map brush.</description>

        <description>The process of generating a new design map based project is discussed on the new map project page (using designable map option).

To re-generate a design map using the same design parameters (size, roughness, etc), select the 'Operations-&gt;Design map-&gt;Generate map' option from the menu. This option is disabled for fractal, perlin and imported heightmaps, as there is no design map in those cases.</description>

        <description>Rather than re-generate the entire design map, you can change some of the design map parameters whilst retaining the same shape using the 'Operations-&gt;Design map-&gt;Modify parameters' menu option. This will open the design map parameters wizard, shown below:</description>
