Automatic loading of resources

Hi All,

The next release of L3DT will automatically scan the resources folder* on start-up, and load any new climates, materials or scripts found. This removes the requirement for the user to manually load each new file using the climate, material or script manager windows. I'll admit that this probably wasn't a particularly difficult task for the user, but it was an entirely unnecessary one, since there are no risks in loading these resources automatically. Conversely, there are security risks in automatically loading executable code, so this automatic loading feature has not been extended to plugins.

Anyway, just in case something goes haywire, I have included a kill-switch. To disable automatic resource loading, select the 'Settings→Local settings' menu item in L3DT, and double-click on the 'File→AutoScanForResources' item to set it to false.
