Hi All,

I've had to spin-out another release candidate of L3DT 2.5b and push the release date back by at least another week. This second RC includes two significant performance optimisations:
  • I've changed the texture LOD manager in Sapphire so that it starts-up faster, and won't freeze for long periods when loading high-res texture tiles.
  • I've added an SSE2-optimised SMT plugin (for Spring mappers), which makes SMT saving dramatically faster*.
Whilst I have verified these improvements work as intended on a number of different machines, I don't think it would be wise to commit them to a 'stable' release without first submitting them for user-testing. Hence, I give you RC2. Please let me know if you find something amiss.

You code fast man...it was only a few days ago i got the other RC.

Downloading now to beat sapphire up a little.
