L3DT release 2.5b is available!

Postby Aaron » Wed Nov 07, 2007 8:59 pm

Hello Everyone,

It's my pleasure to announce that L3DT release 2.5b is now available for download. All the changes are described (with pics) in the full release announcement.

Please note that the 'L3DT for Torque' update is not yet available, as we are still verifying that activation module works as intended. It will be released as soon as possible.

If you would like to leave any feedback, please reply in this forum thread.

Happy downloading!

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi n00854180t,

I apologise for my slow reply. The current state of affairs is that there may be a bug in the activation system used for 'L3DT for Torque'. A fault was reported by the GG QA testers, and I can only reproduce the fault if I delete some of L3DT's registry settings or otherwise deliberately choose the wrong activation module in the activation dialog. I can't yet see how this fault could happen with a default install and no tinkering, but apparently it does, so I'm still trying to work it out. No other testers have reported any such problems, so it's likely to be intermittent or system-specific (or user-specific ;)).

Anyway, if you or any other L3DT for Torque user would like to try the latest release (that's v2.5b), please send me an e-mail to aaron@bundysoft.com, and I'll send you the appropriate download link. If anyone finds the same bug, it would greatly help me in fixing the problem to see the debugging logfile, and if no-one finds the bug, it would reinforce my suspicion that the bug does not affect normal users/systems.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Aaron, just sent off an email from my Gmail account. I'm definitely interested and would gladly give you repro-cases if it happens for me, and if not I'll report on that too.

Thanks!
