L3DT Release 2.5c is Available!

Postby Aaron » Fri Mar 21, 2008 11:43 pm

Hi Everyone,

L3DT release 2.5c is now available for download. This release introduces an attributes map brush to the 3D renderer, a new climate/material system, a vastly improved set of Spring import/export plugins, a new plugin for exporting atlas files for TGEA (both unique and blended), and countless bugfixes and minor tweaks.

This is a free update for all L3DT Standard users, and for all L3DT Professional and L3DT for Torque users that purchased a license within the past 18 months. If your license is more than 18 months old, you may be interested in our current 40% discount on license renewals (see here).

As usual, the full release announcement in the dev weblog contains a more fulsome explanation of the changes, some screenshots, plans for the future, and other miscellaneous ramblings.

Feedback is most welcome.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Bobby,

Yes, I did send you this version.

Also, it should now be available from the GarageGames.com site through your 'my account' page.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Correction: Just now I've uploaded an update to L3DT release 2.5c to fix a bug, so I've e-mailed you the download instructions for the L3DT for Torque update.

Please note that the installer on the GarageGames site will be out-of-date for a few days due to the extra time it takes to run through QA and upload to Akamai.

Old Code No Longer Works?

Postby jack.dingler » Sun May 25, 2008 3:51 am

It looks like my old code doesn't work with the November 07 version either.

Is it disabled for all previous versions?

Hi Jack,

I apologise for my slow reply. Can you please tell me what error message is showing when you try to run L3DT Pro 2.5c? Also, can you please send me the debugging data file? (to aaron@bundysoft.com) The file is located at:

(Win XP)

Code: Select all
C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Application data\Bundysoft\L3DT\Pro [version]\debug.dat

(Win Vista)

Code: Select all
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Bundysoft\L3DT\Pro [version]\debug.dat

[the file is also accessible through the in the start menu]

With the logfile, I should be able to work out what is going wrong.

Best regards,
Aaron.
