An Eye dropper tool

Had a thought. Am painting at the moment using the Design map brush sprite tool and was wanting to reposition the river.

Wouldn't it be great if L3DT had something like an eye dropper tool similar to Photoshop, so that a user could select a sprite, say like the water, and then paint that value onto a new area of the map.

Just one for the suggestion box. I'm sure I can just figure out it's Altitude, dial it in and recreate it from there.

Read some where on the site that the next version may have it's Design map brushes revamped anyhow. Looking forward to testing it out!

Hi Philippe,

Thanks for the request; I've added this to the development plan.

I've previously implemented a 'sample' mode such as you describe for the attributes and texture map brush tools, so it should be pretty easy to copy this over to the design map brush.

Cheerio,
Aaron.
