Hi Everyone,

A bug was found just now in the developmental builds of L3DT v2.8 (not in the stable release). This bug was sometimes incorrectly associating materials with land types, and consequently some areas would have incorrect alpha map coverage, for instance, with 'rock' where 'grass' should be. This fault was not causing any immediately obvious errors, which explains why it was not noticed earlier.

The fix is included in L3DT 2.8 build 16, which is on the downloads page now. To update:
  • L3DT Standard users may download the update from here.
  • L3DT Professional users may download the update from the URL provided in their sales / registration receipt e-mail.
  • L3DT for Torque users may download the update from the private update page here at Bundysoft. If you do not have the URL, please e-mail aaron@bundysoft.com and I will send it to you.

I downloaded the new pro and ran it. I can't see a difference so not sure where this bug was.

Good-O! If you didn't notice the bug in the old build, you shouldn't notice the fix ;)
