Sorry you are getting spammed from the spam-bots. Depending on how big a problem for you, you might look into using a "bot foil pw" -- it's available on the phpbb3 forum. I use it on my phpbb3 forums and that stops the bots registering because there is an extra blank that has to be filled in with something common they can't predict.

Thanks. Most of the credit must go to the default style of phpBB3. Other than adding a banner and footer, and moving the search box, I've barely touched a thing. There are a few more changes planned (mostly alignment issues), but since it all seems to work pretty well I'm in no great hurry.

Thanks for the mod tip. So far the spambots seem to be under reasonable control, but I'll keep your recommendation in mind should circumstances change.
