3rd post! Your testing robbed me of my 2nd post rights. ;)

Actually, damn, this is like the 5th post now, since I posted all that other stuff first. Oh well. :D

Welcome all!

Please feel free to make use of the gallery too:

There is plenty of spare space and bandwidth at the moment, so it would be a shame not to use it.

Hi, I'm member number 9, and I believe the move to forums was an exellent idea! :) Much easier to follow the different discussions and refer to old threads, than when using yahoo or news groups. Remember to make daily backups and install security pathces, though, since there are lots of people on the dark side out there.

Btw, I'm mostly into modding the old Novalogic game Delta Force 2. Not really sure why, but that was my first online gaming experience (around 1999 or so), and so far I've not found any of the newer games more fun to play, even if they've got better graphics and such... Something about the game play and voxel terrains of DF2 which I've fallen in love with, I guess, and which Novalogic never managed to recreate in their newer games. There's even a pretty well confirmed rumor about them losing the original DF2 source code...

I'm member of a DF2 modding group, which now have only 2 active members, and we've so far released TXP (a terrain expansion pack) and some tools for DF2. The last 2 years we've been working on & off on TXP2, which will be much more than another terrain expansion pack...

I'm basically here because I'm hoping to find good use for L3DT in making new terrains for DF2, and if not, maybe getting some tips about algorithms to use for programming my own utility for DF2 terrain making purposes. More about that later in a thread near you...

Sad but true, I suppose. It will be done.
