L3dt vs other terrain editors

Postby jrasmus1 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:23 am

It seems that L3dt's random terrain generator makes the editor superior to many other editors I've found out there. But there is one editor that has a very fast random terrain editor that might compete with l3dt's, here: http://www.unlimit3dstudios.com/landscap3d.html

Anyone have opinions on which is better?

I prefer L3DT for procedural generation. When I want to edit by brush (as shown in the video), then I use UDK's Landscape tools.

I've experimented with several random terrain generators but L3DT allows me to import my own terrain map and get some additional detail work, so I'm all happy now that I found it. :)
