I guessing L3DT will swap out when it runs out of memory and use drive space to carry on.

If this is the case where do it put that swap file and is there a way to maually place it?

I need to keep programs from using my 250 Gb C drive, it's an OS only drive SSD drives
cost an arm and a leg here so I could not get a bigger one

Hi Kiwi-Hawk,

During calculations L3DT progressively writes out the map data to its final destination (i.,e. the project path). It doesn't use temporary files for paging, except in some rare calculations, and these too are often written into the project folder. This is why L3DT asks you to save the project before starting a large calculation on a new project.

Best regards,
Aaron.
