L3DTVis Crashes

Well, you could pretty easily bring a terrain into the general terrain scene manager or the paging scene manager if you're willing to do a little more work. What we're most interested however, is developing our own scene manager with the features listed above.

That being the case we have not invested too much time into trying to get L3DT HF's into the existing SMs but we have been able to do it with some success with PLSM2. Basically you need to run mapsplitter on your L3DT terrain, and then set up cfg and gen.cfg files for the map (there are samples of these).

What we would do then is let mapsplitter generate all of its LMs and base textures and then replace them with L3DT ones by running them through mapsplitter as if they were heightfields, and then replacing the names of the ones in your main terrain folder.
