An Odd Design Map Issue

Postby Delmar001 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:22 pm

Hello again,

I have another odd issue with the map I am working on.

This issue is with the same map I was working on from my previous post. Below is an image of the height-map I am using:
Image

Ignore the left edge, I was trying to manually correct the issues I was having from the previous post.

When I go to generate the Design Map and the top half of the map does not generate properly at all. When I check the height-map afterwards, the top half is gone.
Below is the design map:

And this is the height-map after I generate the Design Map:

Any idea as to what this issue is?

Thanks again!

Hi Delmar001,

I apologise for this inconvenience, and thank you for the bug report. I'm looking into it now, and will post back here when a fix is available.

This bug seems to only affect the Standard version, so in the mean-time you may want to use the Pro trial version.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Delmar001,

The problem was due to a mistyped 'x' instead of a 'y' in the map resizing algorithm in an obscure code path that is triggered when resizing small, non-square, un-tiled maps. The fix is now included in L3DT 12.05 dev build 0, which is on the downloads page now. Thanks again for the bug report!

Best regards,
Aaron.
