UGH! I'm FINALLY back after finding out that the only browser SO FAR that apparently works, is Google Chrome. I don't know WHY my browsers are misbehaving... -.- Anyway, any luck with the tutorial? I can REALLY use the higher quality. Like I said on Google +, if I see what I like & it exports the correct quality that I like, then I will DEFINITELY be renewing my license!

Thanks again, Aaron!

And you might wanna check your Google + too!

I've answered awrightmgt by PM. If any other users of 'L3DT for Torque' would like to access the updated exporter prior to the final release of L3DT 14.02, please PM me or e-mail aaron@bundysoft.com.

Can we PLEASE get back on MY subject now? I don't mean to sound rude, but seriously, this is my topic and posting irrelevant information / questions here is rude in itself. If you would like to contribute to the wonderful help that Aaron has given thus far then please feel free, otherwise, please make your own topics.

Anyways, back on topic, Aaron, how did you achieve THAT level of texture quality? I need to be able to export this type of texture quality. I read the tutorial and tried it, and still to no avail could I achieve THAT high a level of texture quality. :/

ShadowIce,

Awrightmgt asked a valid question about using the new tutorial with 'L3DT for Torque', and it was dealt with with minimal disruption. No further discussion is required.

Please try the 'reset all' button in the T3D material manager window during the export process. If you're using a project from which you have already exported a T3D map, the T3D material settings will be carried over from the previous export, and those old settings didn't have the nice new detail maps. The 'reset all' button should update the settings.

If that doesn't work, please post some screenshots of the unsatisfactory texture detail you're seeing in T3D. It's hard to know what's going wrong otherwise.

Best regards,
Aaron.

PS: I try to keep the tone of the users' forum polite, friendly, patient and inclusive. To that end, the use of CAPITALS for UNNECESSARY EMPHASIS is NOT encouraged. If it's not polite to raise your voice when speaking in person, and it's not polite to do the equivalent on the internet either. Your abstemiousness will be most gratefully appreciated.

Hi ShadowIce,

No worries, and thanks.

Did the 'reset all' button in the T3D texture wizard window help?

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi ShadowIce,

I'm dying to know, did the new exporter meet your requirements?

Best regards,
Aaron.

I'm sorry for the late response, Aaron. It's not really good quality though. I need to know how to make it as great looking as in Unity3D. A Unity3D tutorial video would be nice, but it is not required.

Thank You once again, Aaron! =)

Hi ShadowIce,

Sorry, I don't quite follow (could be the raging head cold, or else I'm just being thick). Are you saying the terrain looks better in Unity3D than T3D? Can you please post some screenshots of your terrain in Unity3D and Torque so that we can see what's different?

As for a Unity3D tutorial; sorry, that's outside my field of expertise.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Aaron! :) Long time, no see! Thought I'd pop in to say hello and to ask you if you have a step-by-step tutorial & / or video (a video would be the best) on how to make huge MMO terrains.

As I said, if I like what I see quality / terrain size wise, I will DEFINITELY be repurchasing my license! :)

Thanks again, and have a great day! :)

Sincerely,

~ShadowIce

Hi ShadowIce,

Sorry, no tutorial yet. Which part of the process in particular is causing your grief? What have you tried, and what hasn't worked?

Best regards,
Aaron.
