Looks like L3DT can make some great realistic terrains.
Has anyone used it to make, oh shall we say, "unrealistic" terrains? I am looking to make some toon type arctic terrains.
Any input?

Hi jydog.
I trying to create a 3D representation of Tolkien world (especially the First Age). My project is called "Le Cronache di Arda".
Take a look at this:

Actually i've bought a TGE "Indie" license (and maybe a TSE "Indie" too), and i would like to use for my project.
Cheers.
Mauro.

Hi Jydog,
Could you perhaps explain this a bit more? I would guess you'd want something like cell-shaded textures (this is possible with a plugin, should someone write it), but you might also be after smoother, more surrealist terrain too. That's sort of possible by reducing the fractal roughness (to ~20%) and erosion (to zero), and increasing the peak overlays (to 100%). Again, more advanced terrain effects could be done in plugins, but it really depends on what you have in mind.
Cheers,
Aaron.
