Smothe for Roads ?

Hi,

Not sure if this is at all possible , but I have made a terrain and I have a .png of my road layout that I would like to use on the terrain now a lot of the roads are on angled slope so the roads are sloping away.

Is there any way to smother theses all out so they are all on a flat surface ? if I have a drape and my road colour is say Red would there be any way for a script to pick up that colour and use that to flatten the surface for a road ?

I hope it is not a manual thing as i think it will take me forever !

Thanks

Hi Psvialli,

I'm terribly sorry, but there's currently no way for L3DT to use an imported image to make roads.

However, if you can wrestle your data into a comma separated value file with three floating point values per line (for X,Y & Z coordinates), I'm sure I can modify the roads plugin to use that input.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi psvialli,

I don't have a SHP loader, but you can send the file (to aaron@bundysoft.com) and I'll have a look.

Best regards,
Aaron.
