Tile filenames for UE4 import landscapes

Postby bOOp » Wed Sep 14, 2016 9:36 pm

Hi Aaron,

i'm on to export tiled map and import it to ue4, unfortionalty ue4 expects file names with e.g. "x0_y0" instead of "x0y0" ...
So i found this topic with looked similar: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3175
and you mentioned a checkbox "Format file names for Unreal" there,
but i cant find it anywhere :( ... can you point me to it pls?

Greets
Pascal

I got this version installed:
Version: 16.03 Pro release build 1
Build date: 27-Mar-2016

Hi b00p,

I'm sorry for the delay in my reply (way too busy at the moment!)

The checkbox is available through the 'File->Export->Export overlapped tiles' menu option. You'll first be asked which map to export, then to pick the filename, and finally you'll get the options window with the checkbox you desire. Please let me know if you find any problems.

Please note the user guide for this feature is here:

(although I note that page has not yet been updated to include that checkbox. Hmm...must fix.)

Best regards,
Aaron.
