regular "lumps" in my heightmaps

When I generate all the resulting maps, these little regular bumps appear. Here's the specular light map, that shows them off the best:
If you overlay the two you can see the little lumps are showing up at the same regular intervals as the design map:
Any ideas on what might be causing this?
