Error when generating attribute map

Postby mauronen » Tue Jan 24, 2006 3:04 pm

Hi Aaron.
I've received the following message during generation process of the attribute map:

calc_AM_GenPixel error
- invalid climate index

calc_AM_GenMap2 error
- couldn't calculate attributes-map pixel

The mosaic structure is 14x15 (211 tiles), but in the AM folder there are only 39 tiles (plus the .mmf file).
The last processed file have suffix <xxx>_AM_x13y1.amf
I suppose that there is something wrong in some files containing the character sequence <xxx>_AM_x13y2.<yyy> recorded into one of the following folders:

- HF
- WF
- WS

but i don't know where and why.

Please, do you give me an idea or some workaround?

Tanks in advance for any suggestion.

Hi Mauronen,

Eww! I recently 'upgraded' the attributes map units, so I guess I've put a bug in there somewhere. I'm not yet sure why there would be an invalid climate index in calc_AM_GenPixel (I’m still looking into it), but I doubt it's related to data in other maps. Most likely I've just messed something up.

…unless, of course, you were experimenting with your own climate files, or using more than one climate in a map? In either case L3DT still shouldn't encounter the errors it did, but I probably didn't debug those bits as thoroughly as I should have with different or multiple climates.

Regards,
Aaron.

This error still seems to be around, and is reproducable by using a non-square map.

Hi Jaks,

Thanks for the reminder. I've just uploaded a fix (v2.4.1.2).

Cheers,
Aaron.
