dmf not saved

When you start a new project with mosaic enabled, you get prompted that the project needs to be saved before continuing, but the .dmf file doesn't get saved.

Hi Tormented,

That's because the project is saved before the design map is created (or any other map, for that matter). Most mosaics get saved automatically as they are created, so the mosaic heightfield/texture/etc will be saved to disk. However, since the design map isn't a mosaic (or at least not usually), it doesn't get saved until you click save. Similarly, your project settings won't be saved until you click save. If you exit without saving your data, your project will probably still contain some maps (normally the mosaics), but you will loose some settings, and probably the non-mosaic maps (e.g. DMF). Am I to take from this that you weren't given a 'save changes before exit?' message box?

Cheerio,
Aaron.

I didn't get a 'save changes before exit' dialog, so I just assumed that it was saving all of the maps as it went along.

Hi Tormented,

Okay, I'll look into why the prompt wasn't shown. Thanks for the bug report.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Tormented,

I've found the fault, and the fix is included in the next update (L3DT 2.5b, next week).

Cheerio,
Aaron.
