Shadows when sun @ 90 degrees?

I'm just starting to play with the L3DT Pro trial edition. Very, very cool stuff.

One question: doesn't it seem that the "casting shadows" step could be skipped when the lighting angle is set to 90 degrees? On larger maps it would save a couple of minutes where the app just gets the same "no shadow" result for every spot.

Or am I missing something?

Hi Brookst,

Thanks for the suggestion; I've made this change for the next build.

Users can still disable the unnecessary shadow casting by un-checking the 'Use shadow map' checkbox in the light mapping wizard.

Cheers,
Aaron.

Hi Brookst,

I have included this change in the latest developmental build of L3DT Pro (v2.8 build 15), which is on the downloads page now.

Best regards,
Aaron.
