Default when import an heightfield

Postby mauronen » Tue Sep 26, 2006 6:14 am

Hi Aaron.

Often, when i import and heightfield in a format different from L3DT (ex. Terragen), i forget to restore default in or Preferences > Heightfield and, therefore, when i try to use L3DTVi2 it happens what you have described here http://www.bundysoft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=242&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

It's possible to mantain default (HFF) after importing heightfield or, in alternative, choose as option if maintain file format of heightfield imported or maintain HFF default?

Cheers.

Mauro.

Hi Mauro,

Certainly, it will be in the next release. I'm sure this has been requested before, and I'm sure I've actually implemented this before, but I probably broke it when I changed some of the file format handling code recently (plugins, etc.) Thanks for pointing this out.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Mauro,

I've uploaded build 18, which maintains your file preferences when you import a heightfield (or a design map). I've also left myself a big and nasty-looking comment in the code so that I don't change this back again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Thanks a lot Aaron for how quick you receipt our request.
I hope that it isn't a stress for you.

Cheers.
