Minimize to the System Tray

Postby jack.dingler » Sun Oct 15, 2006 8:27 pm

L3DT get's a bit annoying at times. It becomes the active window when it finishes a task, and the calc window stays on top.

There are times when I think that's a bit cool, but other times it gets in the way. For instance, when I'm working in other apps like now, and while I type, my app suddenly loses focus and I'm typing in the L3DT window.

Could you put in a feature like the Task Manager does, where it minimizes to the system tray and shows the calc progress in the icon?

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll disable the window activation in the next release (Wednesday). Minimising to the system tray with a progress display is a bit more work, but I'll put it - or something similar - on the to-do list for v2.4c.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Jack,

Sorry, I didn't get this stuff finished in time for v2.4b - it turned out to be a bit more hairly than I first thought. I'll have another go in v2.4c.

Best regards,
Aaron.

It isn't a huge deal.

I did similar thing with one of our apps recently and found examples at www.codeproject.com to be helpful.
