Ability to Delete Mosaic Tiles from Map

Under View > Display Effects , there is "Draw Mosaic Tiles". Looking at this, it would be ideal if I could delete certain tiles. It provides an ideal visual aid, and from radar topography there is sometimes too much detail, islands for example. On my Project they appear to be 64x64, which means it would also be great to pick one and work on it, then send it down the pipeline, pick up the next one and so on.
