Keybinding...

Postby doooogle » Sat Apr 28, 2007 1:17 am

I'm a big fan of the all-singing all-dancing Design/Inflate - I find it gives much more 'realistic' terrains than I am capable of building myself...

I'm sure I'm not the only one who runs the Generate Design Map sequence over and over until I get the perfect looking result.

I'd love a keyboard shortcut for this task - I know it's not hard to trigger it through menus, but I'm kinda lazy like that...

Hi Doooogle,

Which key would you like? (the keymap is already a bit crowded.)

Another thought; what if I implement a redo function, so you can just keep hitting a key for redo? There's actually a fair bit of work in that, but I can put it on the to-do list.

Best regards,
Aaron.

...I notice you still have four function keys free... F9 to F12... *grins*

A redo key could have a lot of uses - that could be nice...

Most importantly, though, the lack of people adding 'yeah, i agree,' to this thread makes me think I'm on my own here... No matter, I can keep doin' what I do now...

Hi Doooogle,

Perhaps it would also help then if I added support for user-defined keybindings? I'll see if I can do this when I get the 'redo' function going.

Cheers,
Aaron.

User defined key binding is a great idea - with that handy block of keys (F9-F12) you could allow for up to four processes to be chosen...

Love your work, man...!
