Start Menu Folder (Windows 8+)

Postby David Walters » Tue May 17, 2016 9:58 pm

Hi, since Windows 8 Microsoft have taken start menu folders that are structured: Company Name \ Product Name \ Shortcuts and discarded the Product name folder. For L3DT this creates a problem when you install multiple versions because instead of a hierarchy of different folders under Bundysoft you get this (as shown here in Windows 10):

Would it be possible to remove the Bundysoft folder prefix from the installer so it's just creating a single folder at the top level called "L3DT Pro 16.05.0.3 (x64)" for example? That'll stop Windows merging all the links together under 'B' too which gets me every time!
