===== Terrain =====

  * The [[http://www.opentopography.org/|OpenTopograpy Facility]] at the University of California San Diego provides [[http://opentopo.sdsc.edu/lidar?format=sd|GeoTIFF raster downloads]] of high-resolution LIDAR and radar datasets. 
  * The [[http://www.usgs.gov|Unitied States Geological Survey]] provides [[http://seamless.usgs.gov/|seamless downloads]] of any area of the globe from the 1 arc-second SRTM data set (~30m), as well as other datasets of higher precision but lesser coverage. 
  * [[http://www.ashundar.com/list.php?c=ter|Ashundar.com]] hosts a lot of excellent artificial and real-world terrain files in a range of sizes (257x257 to 8193x8193), including a 3m DEM of Mt. St. Helens!
  * [[http://www.vterrain.org/BT/index.html|The elevation file repository]] of the [[http://www.vterrain.org|Virtual Terrain Project]] includes some nice terrain and imagery files (Hawai'i, Crater Lake in Oregon, Baia Mare in Romania, etc).
