Hi Marcoio,
Nevermind with the log; I've thought it through.
In L3DT 2.7 I include a Microsoft 'SysLink' control in the bottom-left hand corner of all wizards to provide a hyperlink to the on-line userguide for each page (
see this blog post for the feature announcement). The SysLink control is only available for ComCtl32.dll version 6, which is a Microsoft Windows component that is only available in XP, Vista and newer (as well as emulated Linux/Wine). This means that L3DT can't create wizard windows in 2K, 98 or older operating systems.
I've just checked the
published system requirements for L3DT, and I see that I dropped support for Win2K in May of this year. The reason for this was that I have no Win2k system at my disposal for testing, so I can't maintain or guarantee software on that platform. I also note that Microsoft terminated mainstream support for Win2K three years ago.
I will investigate whether the SysLink control can be removed for a special Win2k version of L3DT. This control is also used in a few plugins now, so they'd have to be recompiled in a 2K-friendly version too. If it's feasible to provide a Win2K compatible version of L3DT Standard 2.7, I will do it, but that will be the last (2.8 and later will definitely be XP and up).
Best regards,
Aaron.
