About Filters

A filter is the basic building block of a graph, and represents a single calculation, operation or action. Some filters may perform complex calculations like generating Perlin heightfields, whereas others may show a 'Save file' dialog box and pass the entered file name to any downstream filters. By connecting filters, you can build up a set of operations.
