About Pins

A filter may have one or more pins, which are used to pass data to other filters in a graph via pin connections. Pins may be either input pins or output pins, which respectively receive data from upstream filters (input pin) or send data to downstream filters (output pin). The example filter below has four input pins (on the left side) and one output pin (on the right side):
