I've had to spin-out another release candidate of L3DT 2.5b and push the release date back by at least another week. This second RC includes two significant performance optimisations:
- I've changed the texture LOD manager in Sapphire so that it starts-up faster, and won't freeze for long periods when loading high-res texture tiles.
- I've added an SSE2-optimised SMT plugin (for Spring mappers), which makes SMT saving dramatically faster*.
