Aaron,
Does L3DT have a copy and paste feature when painting in a blank design map?
Is that a planned feature for future updates?

Hi Therrywan,

Yes, the copy/paste feature works with the design map (blank or otherwise). Have you found a problem with this? Is there some additional functionality you would like?

Best regards,
Aaron.

copy paste

Aaron,
I'm glad it does exist. I tried to find it in the edit menu but could not.
Please tell me how I can get to it. Is it a highlight and copy?

Copy and Paste

Postby therrywan » Sun Aug 02, 2009 4:41 pm

Aaron,
I have discovered your copy and paste, however, it is very difficult to use. Once I have selected, copied, and pasted an area I find that I cannot click and drag it to the exact position that I want it. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Therry,

If you want to precisely paste to an area, use the 'Edit->Select area' menu option to input the paste area coordinates.

Otherwise, there is no paste-and-drag function implemented nor planned. However, if you find you hit the wrong area with your paste, you can undo (CTRL+Z), select the new area, and paste again (CTRL+V). In practice, there is only a slight time difference between this method and using a paste-and-drag method.

Best regards,
Aaron.
