Undo in the works

Postby Aaron » Thu Jun 14, 2007 1:03 pm

Hi All,

I've started work on an undo feature for L3DT. At the moment, it works more like a system restore thingy, where you can save and recall backups of maps or sub-regions of maps. For example, this allows you to backup a map before you edit it manually, and revert if you make a mistake. The backup points aren't automatically saved; you have to do that manually. However, over the next few weeks or months I'll make L3DT automatically save these backup points, and then make the UI a bit more like the Office 'undo' feature. I've explained how this all works a little bit more in yesterday's dev weblog post.

Is any intrepid user interested in downloading the latest dev build to give it a try? Feedback and bug-reports are most welcome.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi All,

I've integrated this undo-ish feature with Sapphire in the latest dev build (2.5.1.12). Now you can backup the heightmap ('edit->backup', in Sapphire) and revert if you make a mistake ('edit->restore').

Cheers,
Aaron.
