Running out of Memory Generating the Water TableI am trying to generate the water table for a 8192 x 8192 map that is split into a 4 x 4 mosaic. With 2 GB of RAM errors for insufficient ram begin on what appears to be the fourth tile. How can I get this to run?
Hi Dennis,
I apologise for this problem. The quick-fix is to use a smaller tile size (eg 512x512). For the same to total map size, L3DT will use less memory on a 16x16 or an 8x8 mosaic than for a 4x4 mosaic. I'll put it on my 'to-do' list to improve the way the memory manager handles large tiles. Cheers, Aaron.
