Problem with the Paint Brush

Postby scania970 » Tue Oct 09, 2012 7:06 pm

Hello to everybody :)
I play Rigs of Rods and i'm remaking some zone of my map exporting it on L3DT Pro 11.11 (Trial).
I modify the Heightfield and than I regenerate (with Calculation Wizard) Heightfield, attributes map, light map, water map, ...
I don't regen the Texture map because i've it, so I need only to modify some little zones with the paint Brush
When i start to use the brush, L3Dt crash, Why?

Sorry for my bad english, I'm italian :)

Hi Scania970,

I apologise for this fault. Can you please send me the log file after the crash occurs? (to aaron@bundysoft.com) You can get the log file using the 'All programs->Bundysoft->L3DT [version]->L3DT logs' shortcut in the Windows start menu. In that directory, you will find a file called 'log.txt'. With the logfile, I will be able to work out what is going wrong.

Best regards,
Aaron

Hi Scania970,

I apologise for the delay in my reply. I've not been able to reproduce this fault yet. Can you please download and try the latest developmental build (L3DT v12.10 build 1), and let mew know if the problem re-occurs? I'll send you the installer link in a PM.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Scania970,

To find the log file, go to the Start menu in Windows, and select the 'All programs->Bundysoft->L3DT [version]->L3DT logs' shortcut. This shortcut will open a folder, in which you will find a file called 'log.txt'. This is the logfile I need.

Best regards,
Aaron

Hi Scania,

Thank your for the log. It seems like the error is occurring in the backup/undo handling code for the brush tool. Can you please select the 'Edit->Enable undo' option in the L3DT menu to disable undo, and then try again? Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi Scania,

I apologise again for this bug. Unfortunately, I've not yet been able to reproduce it. Can I ask you to please e-mail me the project and map definition files for your map? (to aaron@bundysoft.com) These are the '.proj.' and '.def.xml' files in your project folder. These files might help me identify a factor I haven't tried yet.

Has anyone else in the community had problems with the texture brush in Sapphire? Anybody?

Best regards,
Aaron.
