Exporting to a T3D readable format without Professional?

Is there any way to import my hightmap from L3DT into Torque 3D? Unfortunately I do not have the money to buy professional right now and was even wondering if it is even possible, even without the handy plugin that comes with pro. I have looked around and could not find anything.

Hi Redlaser42,

It's almost certainly possible, but I'm not quite sure how. You may want to check the T3D documentation (or failing that, ask on the T3D forum) for how to import terrain into T3D. I'd hazard a guess that you can import the heightmap from a BMP or RAW file, and the alpha maps from PNG files (this was how TGEA worked, IIRC). Sorry I can't be of more help, but I've not had to import terrain into T3D directly.

Best regards,
Aaron.
