When using a flat terrain, typically the same climate material is used. Anyway to stop the tiling effect that it causes?

Hi Acoustic,
Nothing very easy, I'm sorry to say.
- One approach may be to manually spray (using the attributes map brush) a similar land type around (e.g. mix together two grass types). For this to work, the second land type needs to have a slightly different material.
- Instead of manually painting, you could automate this by creating a copy of the first land type, with a slightly different material, and have non-zero noise parameters in the land type. When the attributes map is generated, it will switch between the two land types pseudo-randomly, at whatever spatial frequency you desire. Please see the land type noise documentation for more information and examples.
- A last option would be to find a better texture image for your land type. L3DT's textures are pretty small, and despite the multi-resolution blending, you definitely can still notice the repeating when there are no other variations in land type or slope that would otherwise mask the repetition.
Best regards,
Aaron.
