User's Guide-Possible to print ?

Postby 3DUser » Thu Dec 21, 2006 4:27 am

I'd like to print the user's guide. Is it available in a .pdf format?
If not, can someone tell me what to use to convert each page to a .doc, .pdf, or whatever format for printing?

Sincerely,

Hi 3DUser,

Sorry, I've not compiled all the userguide into a PDF yet. Presently it's over 200 heavily-interlinked wikipages, and I've not yet found an automatic script that can convert all the pages to PDF without borking the links/images/ext. I have however converted a few pages to PDF manually by selecting the text in the browser (by click-n-drag), copying it to OpenOffice*, and saving as PDF. That's how I made this PDF of this tutorial on making skyboxes.

When I get back next year I'll fix the CSS files so that you can print directly from the browser. This actually used to work, but a recent site redesign broke printer friendliness, and I hadn't got around to fixing it yet.

Best regards,
Aaron.

* I'm sure you could do it in Word, if you had to.

I'll get my copy of OpenOffice and try it like you did on some key points.
Thanks for the reply and the future upgrades/modifications.

Regards.

Hello,

I fixed the printer friendliness of the userguide. It ain't beautiful, but you should be able to print directly from your browser now.

Cheers,
Aaron.
