L3DT Pro 2.5 build 26 for Torque crashes on startup...

Postby siuko » Fri Apr 27, 2007 1:44 pm

Hi there,

I purchased L3DT pro through Garage Games the other day and have my registration code in my GG account screen.

I installed the version as above - shown in the log.txt file.

The program starts up and asks for the registration code which I copy and paste in - then click ok.

It then very quickly pops up what looks like a log screen and closes....

The log.txt file contains the quote below...

I thought it was possible that the processors got out of step but yours is a AMD and mine is a Intel.

Since it crashes on startup I thought maybe you were running Vista.

I know this is a pain but uninstall and reinstall it.

It is crashing when you enter the key?

If you are copy/paste the key make sure not to get a trailing space at the end. Try entering the key again.

Yes it crashes once I click on ok after entering the key.

I have made certain that the key provided on my GG account has been entered correctly without any spaces.

Hi Suiko,

I've PM'd you instructions on how to download an update. I can confirm that this bug has now been found on two systems since the release of L3DT 2.5, in both L3DT Pro and L3DT for Torque versions. The updated version fixed the problem in the other case.

This update does not include the Atlas plugin, but if you can confirm the bugfix has worked I'll package-up a new version of L3DT for Torque and send it to you and to GarageGames.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused by this bug.

Best regards,
Aaron.

PS: When you activate this version, you need to select the 'Code is from GarageGames' option in the drop-list.

Haha let us know when we can get the updated versions with Atlas in it, and I will send you my bug report a bit later after I re-make it /smiles....

Hella busy atm, so hard to get to on my 2-do-list today.

Hi aaron,

Thanks for pming me the update but it sadly still seems to have the same problem as before.

Anything else I can try doing to fix my problem?

Hi Suiko,

Did the last version pop-up any error messages when you tried to run/activate it? Also, can you please send the error log to aaron@bundysoft.com? The log can be opened from the Windows start menu at 'Start->All programs->Bundysoft->L3DT Professional 2.5.0.270>L3DT log'.

Best regards,
Aaron.

Hi aaron,

Have sent you an email with my log.txt file included.

I am certain that it did pop up a message box very quickly with the same text that appears in the log.txt file.
