Water Effects

Wondering if there was any way to control the water effects, not to allow to come up so high and lower to a desired level?

Hi William,

Yes, there is. Use the water flooding tool. With this tool you can delete water bodies and flood new ones at definable water levels/depths.

Note: after flooding water bodies, you should re-generate the water table ('Operations->Water map->Flood water table'), the attributes map, light map and texture.

Cheerio,
Aaron.

Hi William,

The settings to change the absorption of light by water are on the third pane of the lightmapping wizard.

If you want the light to go deeper into the water (i.e. brighter on the seabed), set all sliders lower (large depth values). For blue/green water, keep the red:green:blue ratio around about 1:2:5.

Cheerio,
Aaron.
