Hi wdhwg001,
Should I get continuous 64 tiles from x0y0 to x7y7 in 1024*1024 size?
Yes you should.
Then I got tiles but they seem cannot be connected.
Could you perhaps describe in a little more detail why they can't be connected? What file format are you using? How are you attempting to join the tiles together (i.e. what environment / game engine / etc.) What looks wrong? Screenshots will help.
Off the top of my head, these are some things to consider when joining tiles:
- L3DT has 0,0 at the southwest corner of the map (e.g. bottom left of screen), so if you're expecting 0,0 to be at the northwest (top left of screen), there will need to be some flipping involved (see 'Invert Y' format option). Note this applies to both the naming of the tiles, and the order of pixels within the tiles.
- If you're finding gaps between tiles or subtle seams at tile edges, you need to consider how you're doing the tile overlap. the export overlapped tiles option may be of some help.
Best regards,
Aaron.
