Bug in water map display

Postby Aaron » Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:49 pm

Hi All,

I made an oopsie. When you view the water map (with water table) in the main window, L3DT will pop up a few error messages, and eventually crash. This will only affect recent dev builds of L3DT Pro, and the fix will be coming soon.

Cheerio,
Aaron.

maybe related?

I generated a 512 terrain and water map.

-when I copy paste the parameters into the script and press OK, I get:

ZeoScript::RunScriptLines error:
- command 'calc.WM.rain' not recognised

ZeoScript::RunScript error:
- script line failed

Hi Monks,

Unrelated, I think. Did you download and install the atRainMaker plugin?

Cheers,
Aaron.

Yes, it's the latest dev build and the plugin was unzipped into the extensions dir. The heightfield and water map have both been generated prior to running the rain script.
I can't see where I'm going wrong- I wonder if anyone else can reproduce this?

Hi Monks,

You have to install the plugin too. You can do this by double-clicking on the plugin, by dragging the plugin onto the L3DT desktop icon, or by using the extension manager.

Cheers,
Aaron.

Hi Monks,

The "no map to display" message will be shown in the main display when Sapphire is open. Sapphire suspends the 2D renderer to avoid conflict when accessing maps. When you close Sapphire, the main display will be able to draw normally again (maybe hit F5 to force a refresh).

Regarding the bug for which this thread was created (exception when rendering display for water map with water table); it has just been fixed in the latest dev build of L3DT Pro (2.5.1.19).

Cheerio,
Aaron.
