Hi McBeth,

Having fully dealt with the original topic (or so I think, let me know if otherwise), I'm happy to go back off topic again ;)

In answer to your question; I wasn't planning to have any additional visual feedback on the design map, but I'm open to suggestions.

You can see what I had in mind in the latest developmental build (see post here). In this latest build, you can now choose the design map resolution in the new 'design map size' wizard, with the available options being 8x8, 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, and 256x256 heightfield pixels per design map pixel. As with previous versions of L3DT, the 64x64 block size is the default.

Please let me know what you think.

Cheerio,
Aaron.

I haven't looked at that build yet but basically was asking if it would be possible to have a 256 design map with the same amount of "visual" subdivisions..."little squares :) " as a 2048 design map, I'm better able to visualize where I am going with an idea with the DM and then tweak it with sapphire, its like 80% DM - 20% HF when I work.
well I'll find out soon enough
