On the downloads page you will now find the first beta release of L3DT 2.5c. The main changes since release 2.5b are:
- The completion of the Spring SD7 exporter, including the SMD compiler, support for custom map features, vegetation, metal patch placement, and all the rest. The tutorial for this is on-line here.
- The completion of the L3DTio_Atlas2 plugin, for exporting Atlas map files. This plugin supports both unique and blended textures.
- The new material/climate system for texturing terrain (see blog for more info).
- Bugfixes for the activation module in 'L3DT for Torque', which has been a little troublesome since v2.5a.
Please feel free to download it and give it a try, and any feedback you could provide would be warmly appreciated. Users of L3DT Standard and Professional can download the update now from the downloads pages (Pro users should consult reg'/sales e-mail for links). Users of 'L3DT for Torque' who would like to try this beta-release should contact me at aaron@bundysoft.com to receive the appropriate download instructions.
If all goes well, we should see L3DT 2.5c released in late March or early April.
Best regards,
Aaron.
